Prerequisites

Host Platform
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Current supported host platform is x86_64.

OS Distributions
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Xilinx container runtime requires runC installed.

Xilinx container runtime has been tested on the following OS distributions:

1. AL2 (Amazon Linux 2)

2. RHEL 7.8

3. Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

4. Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

5. Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

To build Xilinx container runtime from source code, please follow the instruction in ``docs/install.rst``.

For AWS vt1 instance with Xilinx U30 device, pre-built packages are available from GitHub repo.
